  • Patent number: 4286857
Abstract: An automatic exposure control type camera having an exposure correcting device is provided with a warning display device to indicate when the exposure correction operation of the exposure correcting device is effected. The warning display device is viewed through the camera finder in the same region that exposure information is displayed. The warning display device includes a colored but transparent film which is caused to appear in the exposure information display region when the exposure correcting device is operated.

  • Patent number: 4245901
Abstract: Automatic exposure control is enhanced by providing a fixed diaphragm equivalent to the maximum aperture of the adjustable camera diaphragm so that the fixed diaphragm limits the maximum aperture to a consistent value. Consistent light measurements are possible as long as the lens being used does not interfere with the quantity of light entering the diaphragm.

  • Patent number: 4067023
Abstract: A shutter speed digital display device for cameras equipped with both automatic and manual shutter speed controls is disclosed. A shutter speed display control circuit generates a first digital signal in accordance with the adjustment of the camera's shutter speed by an automatic shutter speed control circuit. The first digital signal is decoded and used to control a light-transmitting liquid crystal device display. In addition, when the camera is in a manual mode of operation, the first digital signal is compared with a second digital signal related to manually adjusted shutter speed. If the comparisons are equal, a coincidence indicator is energized.

  • Patent number: 4011572
Abstract: A release member and a latching member are pivotably mounted in juxtaposition to a pivotable shutter operating member. The release member and the latching member are spring biased to latch the shutter operating member to shutter non-operating position and the release member to a position where it maintains the power switch contacts open for controlling the power drive of the shutter. Limited play between the release member and the latching member permits the switch contacts to close prior to the latching member releasing the shutter operating member and the shutter operating member in turn, when moved to shutter operating position, maintains the release member in release position to maintain the power switch contacts closed.

  • Patent number: 3964082
Abstract: A selector dial assembly includes a rotatable indicator dial that is releasably locked at an angular position for setting the camera in an automatic exposure control mode (AUTO). To release the lock, a pin slidably engaged with a hole in the dial is manually depressed so as to disengage a portion of the pin from a notch in a fixed member. After releasing the lock, the dial is manually rotatable to select a desired exposure setting (MANUAL). The pin is resiliently urged to return into locking engagement automatically upon rotation of the dial to AUTO.

  • Patent number: 3950774
Abstract: Apparatus provides for reducing drain on an electrical power source in a camera and also provides for convenient manual operation in connection with relatively long-exposure-time photographing by controlling the closing of a power switch that switchably connects the power source to an exposure control circuit.
