  • Publication number: 20240067231
Abstract: A travel controller of a vehicle that can travel on a road under autonomous driving control detecting two-wheelers, including bicycles, located in surroundings of the vehicle from surrounding data representing the surroundings of the vehicle generated by a surrounding sensor mounted on the vehicle, determining whether a target road on which the vehicle was traveling when the surrounding data in which a two-wheeler was detected was generated is a shared road on which travel by bicycles is permitted, when it is determined that the target road is a shared road, notifying a driver of the vehicle of a transition demand demanding transition in control of the vehicle from autonomous driving control to manual driving control requiring driving operations by the driver of the vehicle, and when it is determined that the target road is not a shared road, not notifying the driver of the transition demand.

  • Patent number: 4685657
Abstract: A melting furnace includes a body of a refractory material having a hollow melting portion for holding a molten material and a hollow heating portion disposed adjacent thereto for holding the molten material and maintaining the molten material at elevated temperatures. The melting portion has at its upper portion an opening through which a material to be melted is fed into the melting portion, the body having a pair of generally horizontally-spaced inlet and outlet ports each communicating the melting portion with the heating portion. An electromagnetic agitator is disposed below the melting portion for producing a shafting magnetic field in the melting portion which magnetic field shifts from the inlet port to the outlet port to thereby cause the molten material to move from the melting portion to the heating portion via the outlet port and then to move from the heating portion to the melting portion via the inlet port.

  • Patent number: 4290790
Abstract: Filtering apparatus 1 comprises a generally cylindrical lattice frame 6, for supporting a filter bag 3, and an annular support member 13 from which extend rods 12 connected together by channel-shaped straps 14, 24 or 34. The technical problem is to provide a frame for a filter which is compact for transport to the erecting site yet quick and straight-forward to erect. Cut-outs 18 are formed in the side walls 14b of the straps 14, 24 or 34 and the support member 13 is fashioned from a flat strip of material. For transport the rods 12 are located in the cut-outs 18 and spot-welded to the straps 14, 24 or 34 and to support member 13 while the straps 14, 24 or 34 and the support member 13 are laid out flat; several such flat assemblages may then be stacked on one another. At the erecting site the support member 13 and straps 14, 24 or 34 are bent round into shape, the straps 14, 24 or 34 being bent in the region of each cut-out 18 so as to deform each cut-out 18 to retain the corresponding rod 12 therein.

  • Patent number: 4241100
Abstract: A process for producing soybean milk without undesirable beany flavor or bitterness and giving soft and pleasant feel to the tongue, which comprises cooking unsoaked soybeans in an aqueous medium for as short a period as practicable, grinding the boiled soybeans while bringing them into contact with a sodium bicarbonate aqueous solution at a relatively high temperature, extracting the soyprotein and other water soluble components from the ground soybeans and removing a substantial amount of the solids from the slurry.
