    Abstract: A grid structure in a pixel array may be at least partially angled or tapered toward a top surface of the grid structure such that the width of the grid structure approaches a near-zero width near the top surface of the grid structure. This permits the spacing between color filter regions in between the grid structure to approach a near-zero spacing near the top surfaces of the color filter regions. The tight spacing of color filter regions provided by the angled or tapered grid structure provides a greater surface area and volume for incident light collection in the color filter regions. Moreover, the width of the grid structure may increase at least partially toward a bottom surface of the grid structure such that the wider dimension of the grid structure near the bottom surface of the grid structure provides optical crosstalk protection for the pixel sensors in the pixel array.

    Abstract: A method for capturing a size of an installation space for a door/window using remote image includes providing an installation space for a door/window having an edge, disposing a size-calibrating member at one side of the edge of the installation space for the door/window, using an image capturing device to acquire an image that contains with the installation space for the door/window and the size-calibrating member, transmitting mentioned image to an image measurement system, using the image measurement system to analyze the image and determine an image ratio between the installation space for the door/window and the size-calibrating member, and a practical size of the installation space can be figured out based on mentioned image ratio and a practical size of the size-calibrating member.

    Abstract: An insect-expelling yarn net and a method for manufacturing the net are provided. The insect-expelling yarn net includes a yarn net and an insect-expelling substance. The insect-expelling substance is attached to the yarn net. The method includes steps of: providing a yarn net; providing a solution of an insect-expelling substance; placing the yarn net in the solution; and volatilizing a solvent of the solution so that the insect-expelling substance can be attached to the yarn net.     Abstract: A self-cleaning screen mainly includes a mesh-like substrate containing titanium dioxide material with photocatalytic activity or a mesh-like substrate having a titanium dioxide coating with photocatalytic activity provided thereon. The present invention further provides a screen having nanoparticles provided on the mesh-like substrate thereof such that the surface of the screen has a low surface energy. The present invention further provides methods of manufacturing the aforementioned screens.
