  • Patent number: 5352873
Abstract: A microwave oven with an oven cavity and a microwave feed system which produces a microwave distribution of polarized microwaves with essentially defined field vector orientations relative to one of the walls of the cavity. A zone defining an expansion of volume which opens into the cavity and whose dimensions are tuned to the wavelength and field distribution in the cavity, is disposed in a wall of the cavity. The expansion does not affect the effective field distribution in the cavity and can be used for concealed placement of a grill element or light source.

  • Patent number: 4197442
Abstract: A temperature supervising system comprising a temperature sensor which is designed to sense the temperature of the supervised component and to supply a signal representing the temperature, which signal is compared with a reference signal to produce an alarm or to interrupt the connection of the component to a supply source when the difference between the signal indicating the temperature and the reference signal exceeds a given value, for example zero. The reference signal is generated by a function generator which supplies a signal varying with time, which signal, in a period immediately after the instant the component is connected to its current source, increases according to any desired function, for example stepwise or linearly, from a low initial value to a higher output value.

  • Patent number: 4165454
Abstract: An energy supply arrangement for feeding microwave energy from a microwave source to the oven cavity of a microwave oven. The energy supply arrangement comprises a transmission line of the type having a conductor arranged at a small distance from a ground plane, a so-called micro-strip line. This micro-strip line is arranged within the oven cavity near the bottom wall and is, for example, in the shape of a spiral conductor disposed about a central energy feed point and dimensioned such that it radiates energy into the cavity at the same time that energy propagates along the line.
