  • Patent number: 4170757
Abstract: Clandestine signals are transmitted by using a surface wave acoustic device to disperse the spectrum of a pulse-modulated CW carrier. The dispersed signal is itself modulated and then transmitted to a remote location, at low level. At the remote location, an acoustic device of conjugate characteristics is used to recover the dispersed signal from out of the background noise.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 30, 1977
Date of Patent: October 9, 1979
Assignee: The United States of America as represented by the Secretary of the Army
Inventors: William J. Skudera, Charles M. De Santis, Kurt Ikrath, deceased
  • Patent number: 4101896
Abstract: A low profile camouflaged antenna for military vehicles and the like. The tenna comprises an elongated, typically rectangular, sheet of metal curved to conform to the curvature of the vehicle. Insulated spacers, for example of plastic or fiberglass, maintain a fixed spacing between the metal plate and the vehicle, thus forming two elongated slots which, when suitably energized, act as a dual-slot antenna.

Inventors: Kurt Ikrath, deceased, Paul Sexton, Peter Pingitore, William Kennebeck
  • Patent number: 4023179
Abstract: A camouflaged VHF military antenna is formed from the slot which is created hen the door of a pick-up truck having a metal shelter thereon is left partially ajar.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 8, 1975

  • Patent number: 4008478
Abstract: A toroidal coil mounted around the barrel of a rifle permits the rifle to t as a camouflaged antenna for a VHF transceiver.

  • Patent number: 4005429
Abstract: A camouflaged VHF antenna for military vehicles. A false roof is fitted to he roof of the vehicle's metal shelter. The false roof includes a U-shaped slot which is parallel to the left and right edges and the rear edge of the vehicle roof. The slot is fed at the center of the U and tuning circuits are connected to the left and right edges of the slot.

  • Patent number: 4004227
Abstract: The RFI generated by a piece of electrical or electronic equipment is meaed by placing the equipment within a screened test room. A pick-up antenna within the room generates a signal which, after filtering and amplification, drives a reference antenna in a second screened room which is identical to the first. A second pick-up antenna in the first room and a corresponding antenna in the second room are connected to a comparator which compares the RF field intensity in both rooms.

  • Patent number: 3940733
Abstract: A seismic surveillance system for detecting intruders, and the like. A seic transmitter coupled to the trunk of a tree establishes a seismic field in the earth via the roots of the tree. A seismic receiver similarly coupled to another tree detects the field and the presence of an intruder on the earth in which the field is established is detected by noting changes in the phase, amplitude, or frequency of the seismic field.
