Abstract: A method and console are provided to create and manage dispatch unit identities on multiple independent communications systems. A console server receives a first dispatch unit list from a first radio system. The first dispatch unit list includes a first plurality of dispatch unit IDs from the first radio system. The console server receives a second dispatch unit list from a second radio system. The second dispatch unit list includes a second plurality of dispatch unit IDs from the second radio system. The console server creates a first role that includes at most one dispatch unit ID from each radio system. Multiple roles can be created by the console server. Upon authenticating a dispatcher at the console server, the console server presents a menu of roles available to the dispatcher. The menu of roles can include all roles on the console server or only the roles that the dispatcher is allowed to choose and that are currently available.

Abstract: A dual wall axial flow electric heater for leak sensitive applications provides an improved corrosion and leak resistant assembly and includes protective tubes over electrical heater rods, double tubesheets spaced apart by a plenum and leak detectors positioned to sensor leaks through the walls of the protective tubes. The design includes the option of two or more tube bundles with each inserted into opposite ends of a shell surrounding the tube sheets and heaters. The design provides ease of maintenance since each heater rod can be replaced independently while the unit is in service. Variable heat flux is provided from standard single flux heater rods by providing protective tubes of varying diameters. A built-in thermowell is provided to allow the rod temperatures to be monitored directly. Hot spots are avoided by the use of turning baffles and vibration is avoided by use of spider baffles to support the tubes.

Abstract: A thermal cycling device for a titration plate enables selected sample wells to be individually subjected to heating and cooling cycles independent of the temperature of adjacent sample wells. Each sample well is fitted with its own mechanism for independently heating and cooling the sample therein while a heat sensing mechanism provides feedback to the controller. The device is especially well adapted for enabling elected samples in a single titration plate to be simultaneously subjected to different PCR programs.
