  • Patent number: 5469677
Abstract: For a stressing anchorage for a tension element running inside an encasing tube, a bearing plate with an annular opening is set up on an outer wall of a structural part. In an area of the opening turned away from the structural part there is a cone opening outward. A trumpet of plastic is bonded to the encasing tube, likewise of plastic, at its end situated in the structural part. The outer end of the trumpet is more or less flush with the face of the bearing plate turned away from the structural part. A transition piece projects into the trumpet with a projection leading in whose surface area is shaped frustoconically. Owing to the truncated cone, the outer end of the trumpet is pressed against the cone of the bearing plate, and is held firmly in an annular gap between the said truncated cone and the said cone after the anchor head is placed on the transition piece and the tensioning strands of the individual tension elements are pre-stressed and are held with the wedges.

  • Patent number: 5320391
Abstract: To connect two sheaths (1a, 1b), used in prestressing cable technology for concrete supporting structures, there is a coupling element (19) which is fitted with chamfered flanges (6). The sheaths (1a, 1b), which have protrusions (2a, 2b), are each inserted into the coupling element (19) with a tubular element (4) which forms the end of the sheaths (1a, 1b). A sealing ring (7) is inserted between each of the flanges (6) and protrusions (2a) of the sheaths (1a, 1b). The flanges (6) and the protrusions (2a) are held together by sloping surfaces (10a) and (10b) of a groove worked in each socket (8). Each of the sockets (8) consists of two half portions (8a) and (8b), which can be connected together.

  • Patent number: 5113634
Abstract: The tension part (1), which can be extracted from the earth after use, comprises a central member (2) and a plurality of outer members (3). At least one (3') of the outer members is completely servered. Pressed on radially about the tension part is a tubular supporting element (5). The point of severance (4) is situated in the entry region of the supporting element. Disposed between the supporting element and the tension part is an insert (11) having inner teeth (13) for a secure grip. Through the severance of one of the outer members, substantially greater ductility is achieved before breakage takes place. This in turn allows better monitoring of soil anchors produced with such tension parts.

  • Patent number: 4114242
Abstract: Apparatus for gripping one or more tapered segmented grips by means of which tensioning members consisting of wires or strands are anchored in an anchor block. For the purpose of detensioning the tensioned members the apparatus is installed between the anchor block and the tensioning jack. The apparatus comprises a body with a number of slotted cylindrical gripping means the number of which corresponds to the number of the tensioning members passing therethrough. The gripping means are coaxial with the tensioning members.
