Abstract: A snood is used on a line, string, or rope, such as a fishing line. The snood is formed from a stiff snood thread, the snood being twisted with two strands and having a loop for attachment to the line, string, or rope. The loop is formed by threading an end of the snood through the two strands of a main body of the snood. The snood is impregnated with a synthetic oil suitable for impregnation of fishing gear diluted in White Spirit and added color, or with a lacquer which is diluted in thinner and added color.
