    Abstract: Axial impellers for waterjet pumps, for example, require for each horsepower level a different stator vane housing in order to avoid stator vane cavitation damage. The invention allows the use of one stator housing for a wide horsepower range at constant speed by holding the ratio of impeller discharge flow coefficient over head coefficient constant.
