  • Patent number: 6237895
Abstract: A crowd control rail assembly includes at least two foldable plastic barricades constructed from two substantially similar integrally molded planar frame units. A planar cross-panel at the upper end of the barricade includes a vertically elongated slot into which the end of an elongated plastic rail unit may be inserted. Notches are provided at each end of the rail. Dimensions of the rail are chosen so that it must be inserted into the slot substantially perpendicular to the planar face of the upper portion of the frame unit and, then when the notch engages the bottom of the slot and the barricade is unfolded, the rail is automatically and securely retained.

  • Patent number: 5046885
Abstract: A plastic barricade is rigidized with limiting bolt and hinge so that it can be open to a fixed freestanding position of, for example, 40.degree.. Downward or collision forces with the barricade are compensated by providing compression molded end walls in the recesses in which the limiting bolt is placed. In addition, the hinge which includes a cylindrical male boss and a C-shaped female socket accommodates such forces by reason that the C-socket is also compression molded and includes additional strut means connected to its associated leg on the barricade frame unit for distributing any forces on the C-socket.

  • Patent number: 5036791
Abstract: A stackable road delineator includes an upright conical portion with a detachable weighted base. The top conical end has a handle graspable by the fingers of a human hand. Also, this end has a conical hollow interior so that when it is stacked on top of another similar delineator, the handle will freely fit within this hollow interior to thus provide stackable delineators.

  • Patent number: 5009541
Abstract: A plastic barricade includes improved hinges which can be freely opened to an almost flat position so that no unwanted forces cause breakage of the hinges. Limiting bolts are placed in recesses on each face of the barricade so that the bolts in the normal active position will limit the opening or unfolding of the frame units of the barricade to, for example, 40.degree., but when closed will still present a planar surface with the bolt heads being recessed so that stacking of one barricade on the other will not be interfered with. In addition, a slot is cut in the middle panel member to allow insertion of a road warning sign and horizontal support platform for warning lights is also provided.

  • Patent number: 5003912
Abstract: An interlocking stackable, plastic barricade includes two identical integrally molded plastic panels which are hinged to pivot around a common axis. Each panel includes at the left and right edges a pair of interlocking elements--one being a protrusion at one edge and the other an indentation at the other. When the barricades are stacked, this pair of interlocking elements mate together to form a stable stack.

  • Patent number: 4516109
Abstract: A road barricade flasher light combination includes a bracket connecting the flasher light to the hinge pin of a barricade. The bracket is in the form of a lever having a slotted aperture which is permanently fastened to the hinge pin and a cup-shaped recess with an aperture through which the normal threaded bolt of the flasher light extends. The assembly allows pivotal action for installation of the light and then later movement of it into a position on the saddle formed by the top bracket of the barricade.
