  • Patent number: 5794868
Abstract: In an arrangement for spinning endless threads of synthetic filaments an apparatus is provided normally comprising a winder as well as a unit comprising a roll arrangement. Owing to the application of rolls of extended length the design height level of the apparatus above the winder can be reduced substantially.

  • Patent number: 5763859
Abstract: In order to prevent transmitting vibrations which are generated by the turning of a godet to an inductor used for heating the godet, the inductor may be arranged vibration-free on bearings by a vibration damper. The vibration damper may be arranged between a carrying cylinder flange of a carrying cylinder, which accommodates the inductor, and a housing end wall. A further vibration damper ring may be provided between a centering ring, for the radial damping of the inductor, with the carrying cylinder flange being pressed against the vibration damper by screws and a pressure spring being provided between the screw and the carrying cylinder flange for pressing against the carrying cylinder flange.

  • Patent number: 5086990
Abstract: A retaining rod of a roving guide is engaged in a carrier beam and secured by a resilient support member which also prevents any transmission of vibrations. The roving guide has a deflector for rovings each associated with a groove. The grooves are offset from the vertical center-plane of the machine.

  • Patent number: 4570743
Abstract: In order to hold at a minimum the noise emission of the winding gear in a winding unit of a spinning machine for the processing of endless filaments, the winding unit is provided with a noise protection door which is pivotingly translatable from an initial or idle position at the side of the winding unit into an operating position in front of the winding unit. The noise protection door comprises a guide portion which is supported or guided by means of rolls and guide pins and a noise protection portion pivotally supported on the guide portion by means of pivot pins. The guide pins forming part of the guide portion and the guide pins forming part of the noise protection portion project into two guide grooves arranged in mirror-image fashion, one of which is provided in a floor plate and the other in a cover of the winding unit. Thus the guide portion is guided in a straight line and the noise protection portion is pivotally guided.

  • Patent number: 4535515
Abstract: A draw-roll assembly is movable downwardly on guide rods from a working position into a filament take-up position. A slightly heavier counter weight connected with the draw-roll assembly by means of a cable ensures that the draw-roll assembly stays in the upper position even upon failure of a pneumatic control and also that the movement forces are limited substantially to the difference between the weights. An electro-pneumatic control controls the movement speed of the draw-roll assembly from the filament take up position into the working position.

  • Patent number: 4470529
Abstract: The thread suction device has means for bunching a plurality of threads together adjacent to a nozzle opening so that the threads can be simultaneously and uniformly drawn into the suction nozzle. In one embodiment, the nozzle is moved in order to bunch up the thread prior to drawing in of the threads. In another embodiment, a guide on the nozzle is moved in order to bunch the threads up against the nozzle prior to drawing in of the threads.
