  • Publication number: 20230145741
Abstract: A product exchange system manages an exchange of information related to a transaction executed through an ecommerce platform provided by a third-party business between a user and the third-party business. The product exchange system comprises a controller; a database that includes user information and login credentials associated with the user, wherein the database is in communication with the third-party business and the user; and a memory coupled to the controller. The controller is configured to: receive a user request to log into the product exchange system from the user through the ecommerce platform provided by the third-party business, wherein the user request includes the login credentials; receiving sharing preferences from the user, the sharing preferences indicating a subset of user information that is to be shared to the third-party business; and send at least the subset of the user information from the database to the third-party business.

  • Patent number: 11605045
Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods for an address exchange system including a controller configured to provide an API configured to receive an identifier from a user and further configured not to receive a physical address from the user, wherein the user provides an item for shipment to the physical address. In response to receiving the identifier, the controller is further adapted to request the physical address from a data storage system wherein the data storage system stores an association between the identifier and the physical address and further stores one or more permission settings defining situations in which the physical address is to be provided in response to receipt of the identifier. In response to receipt of the identifier, the data storage system tests the permission settings to determine whether or not to provide the associated physical address.

  • Patent number: 11488090
Abstract: A product exchange system comprising a controller and a memory coupled to the controller. The controller is configured to: provide an application programing interface configured to receive a delivery request from a first user for delivery of an item, wherein the delivery request includes an identifier of a second user, and wherein the API is configured not to receive a physical address of the second user; in response to receiving the delivery request, access a data storage system that stores an association between the identifier and the second user, and further stores one or more permission settings associated with the second user defining delivery requests to allow in response to receipt of the identifier from the first user or in response to receipt of one of the item and product characteristic; and, in response to receipt of the delivery request, tests the permission settings.

  • Publication number: 20160019544
Abstract: An information and product exchange system includes a controller and a memory coupled to the controller, wherein the memory is configured to store program instructions executable by the controller. In response to executing the program instructions, the controller is configured to provide an application programing interface (API) configured to receive an online identifier and an action request from a first user, wherein each of the online identifier and the action request relates to a second user. In response to receiving the online identifier and the action request, the controller accesses a data storage system that stores an association between the online identifier and one or more offline identifiers related to the second user and further stores one or more permission settings.
