    Abstract: There is provided a communication chip package integrating an antenna and a heat dissipation ground. In the integrated package according to an embodiment, a heat dissipation ground is coupled to a high frequency communication chip package, an antenna patch is directly disposed on an upper portion of a mold of a ceramic material, changes are made to the structure of the ceramic mold to minimize a wire bonding length to a communication chip, a capacitive power feeding method is applied through a sidewall of the ceramic mold, and heat is discharged through a lower portion of the package and also through a PCB or an additional heat dissipation structure of a lower portion of the PCB. Accordingly, an insertion loss may be minimized and an effect of heat dissipation may be maximized.

    Abstract: In a Packet Switched Data Network (PSDN) having a Local Area Network (LAN) interface, an auxiliary controller controls all protocols of the LAN interface through an interrupt routine and transmits a state-monitoring signal after processing the protocols. A main controller compares a transmitting period of the state-monitoring signal transmitted from the auxiliary controller with a critical time and changes a state of the auxiliary controller from a usable state to an unusable state or from the unusable state to the usable state in accordance with a result of the comparison. As a result, even when traffic is congested in a certain LAN interface or a certain LAN interface is infected with a virus to such an extent that the interface fails to operate, an overload in a main processor is prevented.

The sensing circuit includes a diode connected in the forward direction between the communication device and the backup battery, for forming a current path from the communication device to the backup battery. A photocoupler connects in the forward direction between the backup battery and the communication device, for forming a current path from the backup battery to the communication device and sensing an output voltage from the backup battery. When the backup battery is operated, such a situation is sensed and the user is informed.
