  • Patent number: 5964729
Abstract: A perforating device for dermal administration of medicine is disclosed. The device includes skin perforating members provided with a plurality of needles and received in a casing. The skin perforating members have alternately arranged needle discs and spacer discs which easily and evenly perforates the skin to a depth, suitable for dermal administration of medicine, by simply rolling the assembly on the skin. The device also includes a biasing mechanism for elastically vertically moving the assembly during skin perforating and thereby preventing the skin perforating members from excessively perforating the skin. The device informs the user of the excessive pressure of the assembly and thereby preventing possible skin damage.

  • Patent number: 5909230
Abstract: In a recording apparatus, one marking fluid container is cantilevered from one end at one side of a chamber. The one marking fluid container has an ejection hole and an internal passage from the ejection hole to the chamber for supplying marking fluid from the chamber to the ejection hole, whereby the marking fluid is ejected from the ejection hole by inertia upon release of flexural bending of the one marking fluid container for recording on a recording medium. Another marking fluid container extends in a second direction from one end cantilevered at an opposite side of the chamber. The one marking fluid container has a rectangular cross section transverse to the first direction for accommodating still another marking fluid container in a row. The one and other marking fluid containers cantilevered from the opposite sides of the chamber are parallel and staggered relative to each other.

  • Patent number: 5843114
Abstract: A skin perforating member for an insulin patch, which is for disposing a human skin before administering insulin transdermally. By a pressure sensing arrangement instailed on both sides of a skin perforating member, a user can learn whether scarring a skin is properly going on at the sight of a pilot lamp. When not used, this device deposits the skin perforating member in its main body to shield perforating needles.

  • Patent number: 5681580
Abstract: The present invention is a patch-type device for iontophoretic transdermal medication of insulin of one-piece form having a container for holding gel-like insulin and a power supply for furnishing insulin with electricity. A patch plate, formed with an embossed portion, electrically contacts an electrode pattern formed in a printed circuit board carried by the device, thereby improving transdermal treatment of insulin.
