  • Publication number: 20240168542
Abstract: Examples of augmented reality (AR) environment control advantageously employ multi-factor intention determination and include: performing a multi-factor intention determination for summoning a control object (e.g., a menu, a keyboard, or an input panel) using a set of indications in an AR environment, the set of indications comprising a plurality of indications (e.g., two or more of a palm-facing gesture, an eye gaze, a head gaze, and a finger position simultaneously); and based on at least the set of indications indicating a summoning request by a user, displaying the control object in a position proximate to the user in the AR environment (e.g., docked to a hand of the user). Some examples continue displaying the control object while at least one indication remains, and continue displaying the control object during a timer period if one of the indications is lost.

  • Publication number: 20230365221
Abstract: A gearbox may include a drive spindle and several interconnected gear clusters arranged in a housing. A first of the gear clusters is coaxially fastened to the spindle, and has an outboard gear and an inboard gear. The first gear cluster drives a belt to operate one or more of the other gear clusters, and the inboard gear is physically divided into a plurality of segments. A shifting system for the gearbox includes an actuator configured to urge the segments of the inboard gear of the first gear cluster into and out of the plane of the belt, such that a gear ratio of the gearbox is changeable without displacing the belt out of the plane.

  • Patent number: 10717964
Abstract: A non-naturally occurring microbe capable of growing in a medium comprising methanol is provided. The methanol contributes to a significant percentage (e.g., at least 40%) of the carbon source for the non-naturally occurring microbe, which expresses heterologous methanol dehydrogenase (MDH) and heterologous ribulose monophosphate (RuMP) pathway enzymes. Methods for producing liquid fuels and chemicals by the non-naturally occurring microbe and methods for preparing the non-naturally occurring microbe are also provided.

  • Patent number: 10640746
Abstract: The present invention provides a non-naturally occurring microbe capable of growing in a medium comprising methanol, comprising a heterologous polynucleotide encoding a heterologous methanol dehydrogenase (MDH) derived from a Corynebacterium organism (Cor), wherein the MDH is expressed in the microbe, and wherein the MDH exhibits a Km of no more than 3 mM for methanol. Also provided are uses of the non-naturally occurring microbe for oxidizing methanol and producing a metabolite as well as the preparation of the non-naturally occurring microbe.

  • Publication number: 20200017888
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for increasing production of a metabolite by a non-naturally occurring methylotroph, comprising growing the non-naturally occurring methylotroph in a medium comprising methanol. Expression of one or more native genes in the non-naturally occurring methylotroph is changed. Also provided are the non-naturally occurring methylotroph and preparation thereof.
