  • Publication number: 20240180042
Abstract: Doped-AlN piezoelectric materials are advantageous because they are far more compatible with complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) materials and they maintain both piezoelectric and thermodynamic stability up to very high temperatures, compared to PZT. Ab-initio calculations and targeted experimentation have identified alternative, earth-abundant, dopants for AlN from the periodic table d-block. In particular, group IVB elements, titanium (Ti), zirconium (Zr), and hafnium (Hf) induce large piezoelectric enhancements comparable to rare-earth dopants, such as Sc. This improvement is due to shifts in the sublattice atomic structure and changes in the local charge states. This invention provides a highly accessible and affordable path for technological adaptation of AlN-based piezoelectrics for sustainable, next-generation electronics.

  • Publication number: 20240123735
Abstract: Reprocessing of a replaceable supply component may include receiving from an encoding device and using an interface communicatively coupled to the encoding device, a request blob to reprocess a replaceable supply component. The method may include in response to cryptographically verifying the request blob, extracting from the request blob, a supply identifier and raw supply data. The method further includes using the supply identifier and raw supply data, generating a reprocess structure to append or amend original manufacturing data for the replaceable supply component, and providing a response blob to the encoding device, to designate the replaceable supply component as a reprocessed supply component.

  • Publication number: 20240118906
Abstract: An example method comprising requesting authorization to reprocess a replaceable supply component using an interface and original manufacturing data stored in memory of the replaceable supply component. The method further comprises, in response to the request, receiving configuration data using the interface, and appending the original manufacturing data with the configuration data to designate the replaceable supply component as reprocessed, wherein the configuration data is to cause reconfiguration of an end-user device in response to attachment of the replaceable supply component to the end-user device and execution by the end-user device.

  • Publication number: 20240111905
Abstract: Generating a request for reprocessing of a replaceable supply component may include sending to a non-volatile memory of a replaceable supply component, a request for information about the replaceable supply component. The method may include receiving from the replaceable supply component, the supply component information, wherein the supply component information includes data to be decrypted by an exchange service. The method may further include generating a request blob including the supply component information, and cryptographically signing the request blob for sending to the exchange service for reprocessing of the replaceable supply component.

  • Publication number: 20230109232
Abstract: A logic circuitry package for a print apparatus includes a serial data bus interface to interface with a serial data bus, the logic circuit to respond to messages from the print apparatus over the serial data bus directed to a number of different addresses using different component keys for cryptographic authentication corresponding to each different address, the different component keys related to at least one master key of the print apparatus. The logic circuitry package further includes control logic which, in response to a session initiation request message on the serial data bus from the print apparatus, is to establish a secure communication session related to one of the different addresses, the control logic to cryptographically authenticate responses to each subsequent message of the secure communication session from the print apparatus using a component key corresponding to the address.

  • Publication number: 20180237161
Abstract: Various arrangements for charging an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) may be presented. When flying in the vicinity of the UAV docking station, the UAV may identify the UAV docking station based on image recognition of an alignment graphic on a docking platform of the UAV docking station. The UAV may then determine a landing rotational orientation based on the image recognition. The UAV may rotate to the landing rotational orientation. The UAV may land on the docking platform of the UAV docking station in the landing rotational orientation such that electrical contacts of the UAV electrically connect with electrical contacts of the UAV docking station.
