    Abstract: Provided is an electric double layer capacitor including: a casing and an electrode body disposed within the casing and having an electrolyte impregnated therein. The electrode body includes at least one positive electrode foil having an electrode material coated on surfaces of one side and the other side thereof, at least one negative electrode foil disposed and stacked to face the positive electrode foil and having an electrode material coated on surfaces of one side and the other side thereof, and at least one isolation film disposed between the positive and negative electrode foils and stacked on the surface of one side or the other side of the positive or negative electrode foil. A porous current collector in which through holes are arranged and formed is used as a negative electrode foil belonging to the one or more negative electrode foils and disposed on an outside of the electrode body.

    Abstract: Provided is a method of manufacturing a porous current collector, which can fabricate a porous current collector in such a way as to fabricate alcohol-resolvable resin as an etch mask pattern by printing polyhydric alcohol on a surface of the alcohol-resolvable resin in a pattern and to form a plurality of through holes in a metal sheet using the etch mask pattern. The method includes the steps of forming an alcohol-resolvable resin layer by coating alcohol-resolvable resin on a surface of a metal sheet, forming an alcohol-resolvable mask pattern layer by printing polyhydric alcohol on a surface of the alcohol-resolvable resin layer after the alcohol-resolvable resin layer is formed, and etching the metal sheet so that a plurality of through holes is formed in the metal sheet using the alcohol-resolvable mask pattern layer as a mask after the alcohol-resolvable pattern layer is formed.
