    Abstract: An animal training device for use by a handler training an animal is shown. The animal training device includes a tension measurement device for measuring the tension on a leash between the handler and the animal. The animal training device also includes a sound generator that is able to produce sound. The tension measurement device takes a first tension measurement and a second tension measurement after the first measurement. The sound generator produces a sound when the second tension measurement is less than the first tension measurement.
