  • Patent number: 7710500
Abstract: Sync positions are detected from a video signal. The detected sync positions are processed (e.g., averaged) to generate modified sync positions. The detected sync positions and the modified sync positions are selectively used to sample and synchronize a color signal derived from the video signal. For example, the detected sync positions and the modified sync positions may be selectively used to sample and synchronize the color signal responsive to differences between the modified sync positions. The invention may be embodied as apparatus and/or methods.

  • Publication number: 20100039943
Abstract: An apparatus and method for measuring frame loss in multicast service traffic are provided. The method of measuring frame loss includes: counting the number of data frames of a predetermined multicast service flowing into an object network of frame loss measurement; counting the number of data frames of the predetermined multicast service flowing out of the network; and measuring frame loss by comparing the counted number of incoming frames and the counted number of outgoing frames. According to the method and apparatus, in a multicast service environment which is dynamically changing, frame loss of a predetermined multicast service can be conveniently and easily measured.

  • Publication number: 20090254676
Abstract: A method for transferring data frame end-to-end in a local area network is provided. In the method, a virtual synch frame shaper is loaded on a frame transmission layer structure provided in end stations in transmitting and receiving sides, which transmits data frame passing through a plurality of Ethernet switches in the LAN. Then, slot counters, which are counted through the virtual synch frame shaper, are exchanged between the end stations, and the slot counters are synchronized. Afterward, the transmit time slot is allocated based on the synchronized slot counters for transmitting data frames between the end stations. Finally, data frames are transmitted based on the synchronized slot counters and the allocated transmit time slot.

  • Patent number: 6864870
Abstract: Disclosed is a liquid crystal display (LCD) controller with improved dithering and frame rate control to reduce the physical (hardware) cost and power consumption, and a method thereof. The LCD controller utilizes a mechanism of minimizing a size of a dithering pattern register which stores plural gray levels. A duty cycle value for the respective gray levels is determined by using the same bit number as denominator values of the plural gray levels. The LCD controller includes a dithering pattern register section for storing the plural gray levels, modular register counters for performing counting operation to determine a binary value of most significant bit of the respective gray levels, multiplexers for generating data patterns for the respective gray levels in accordance with an output of the respective modular register counters; and a selection means for selecting and generating a corresponding bit of a data pattern corresponding to pixel data provided on a LCD panel.
