  • Publication number: 20090262449
Abstract: A disk drive for driving a disk is disclosed, which includes: a driving unit configured to provide a driving force onto the disk, a main circuit pattern electrically connected with the driving unit, a sensor unit configured to sense a rotation speed of the disk, a first board supporting the sensor unit, a second board supporting the first board, and a base plate supporting the second board and the driving unit. One of the first board and the second board can be a flexible board electrically connecting the sensor unit with the main circuit pattern, and the other of the first board and the second board can be a rigid board. This disk drive can be utilized to ensure the distance between the sensor unit and the disk required for a rotation sensor to measure the rotation speed of the disk.

  • Publication number: 20090256432
Abstract: A motor is disclosed, which includes: a rotor, to an inside of which a magnet is coupled, and from a center portion of which a tube-shaped cylindrical portion protrudes out; a shaft, which has one end coupled to the cylindrical portion, where the outer diameter of the one end of the shaft is greater than that of the other side; a holder, which supports the other end of the shaft, and which has a portion inserted in the cylindrical portion; a bearing, which is positioned between the holder and the other end of the shaft, and which rotatably supports the other end of the shaft; a stator, which is adjacent to the magnet, and which has a coil wound around a portion; and a base, which supports the holder. This motor may be utilized to better maintain verticality in the shaft of the motor and prevent wobbling in the disk.

  • Publication number: 20090125931
Abstract: A turntable device and a disk driving device having the same are disclosed. A turntable device for securing a disk includes: a cone part, which receives the disk in a detachable manner; a base, on which the disk may be mounted, and on which a boss is formed; and a yoke, which is coupled to the boss, and which supports the cone part in a manner such that the cone part is separated from the boss and is capable of sliding. This turntable device can improve alignment between the rotation centers of the motor and the disk, even in high-speed rotations.

  • Publication number: 20070300247
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a turntable assembly. The turntable assembly includes a turntable for mounting the optical disk thereon, and a chucking member which is contracted toward a center of an optical disk and holds the optical disk. A spring elastically biases the chucking member in a direction away from the center of the optical disk. An elastic support member supports the chucking member in a direction opposite an inserting direction, so that at least part of the elastic support member supporting the chucking member is elastically deformed in the inserting direction of the optical disk. A housing accommodates the chucking member, the spring, and the elastic support member therein. The elastic support member includes a support part which is spaced apart from the turntable to undergo elastic deformation in the inserting direction, and supports the chucking member.
