  • Publication number: 20220136421
Abstract: The enclosed disclosure relates to vehicle systems in which an engine, a particulate filter fluidly coupled with the engine, a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system fluidly coupled with the engine downstream of the particulate filter, an electrical heating device implemented with the particulate filter, and a controller operatively coupled with the engine and the electrical heating device, are implemented. The controller can detect, when the engine is turned off, a condition for turning on the engine, detect a temperature of the particulate filter of the SCR system, activate the electrical heating device in response to the detected temperature being below a lower temperature threshold, and turn on the engine in response to the detected temperature being at or above the lower temperature threshold.

  • Patent number: 11311757
Abstract: A post system for use in fall protection includes a connector to connect to a structure and a support in operative connection with a lifeline to maintain the lifeline at a first height above the structure. When a first threshold force is experienced on the lifeline, the support is operable to lower the lifeline to a second height which is lower than the first height. The ratio of a change in effective length of the lifeline resulting from the lowering of the lifeline to a change in height resulting from lowering of the lifeline (or the ?L/?H ratio) is less than 1. The ratio of the change in effective length of the lifeline resulting from the lowering of the lifeline to the change in height resulting from lowering of the lifeline may also be less than 0.5 or less than 0.4.

  • Publication number: 20210354199
Abstract: It has been found that duplex monolithic parts can be manufactured in high volume at low cost by using powder metal technology to mold and sinter an inner component of the part into an outer component of the part. This technique reduces the cost of manufacturing intricate metal products by taking advantage of the attributes of powder metal technology in making the inner component of the part. The outer component of the part can be wrought machined, stamped or forged, or made by double press double sinter or forging a powder metal component of the part. In any case, this technique can beneficially be used in making a wide variety of toroid parts, such as gears, clutches, sprags, bearing races, one-way diodes, and the like.

  • Publication number: 20210335470
Abstract: A machine learning system for training a data model to predict data states in medical orders is described. The machine learning system is configured to train a data model to predict whether a medical order requires prior authorization (“PA”) for medical orders within a medical order data set so that related systems may process incoming medical orders with PA determinations predicted by the data model. The machine learning system includes a first data warehouse system. The first prescription processing system generates a data model of historical orders and payer responses, apply a predictive machine learning model to the data model to generate a trained predictor of whether a medical order requires PA, associated with order data, apply the trained predictor to a plurality of production orders to determine PA for each of the plurality of production orders, and process the plurality of production orders with each associated PA determination.

Abstract: A spray apparatus adapted to be connected to a fluid supply such as a syringe to spray a predetermined pattern of spray fluid to a target area such as the tissues of an animal or human. The sprayer delivers a predetermined dose of a medicament, vaccine or the like to the nasal or other cavity of an animal or human patient. The sprayer includes a base member and a cap member which is connected to the base member. The base member is connectible to the fluid supply. Spray is discharged from the distal or outward end of the cap member. The base member has a central, longitudinal lumen having a predetermined configuration. Fluid traverses the lumen and is discharged through a central aperture of the cap, which also has a predetermined configuration. The cap central lumen and spray discharge aperture are aligned with the base lumen.
