  • Publication number: 20240169601
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing augmented reality overlay displays related to repairs may include obtaining sensor data associated with a home or vehicle and analyzing the sensor data associated to identify a vehicle component and/or home appliance that is not functioning properly. Repairs for the vehicle component and/or home appliance that is not functioning properly may be identified, and a determination may be made as to whether it is safe for a vehicle operator and/or home resident to perform the repair. If so, an augmented reality overlay display may be presented upon images/video of the vehicle/home captured in real time, identifying vehicle/home components that must be manipulated in order to perform the repair. If not, the augmented reality display may identify portions of the vehicle or home of which the vehicle operator must capture images in order to request a professional repair or submit an insurance claim.

  • Patent number: 11989493
Abstract: Determining a warp function between two watertight spline models. A first watertight spline model of a first object and a set of points and associated metadata from a second object are received. A second watertight spline model of the second object is constructed based on the set of points, the metadata, and the first watertight spline model. A warp function is determined based on a difference between the first watertight spline model and the second watertight spline model. The warp function is a continuous function approximating differences between the first object and the second object. The warp function is stored in a non-transitory computer-readable memory medium.

  • Patent number: 11851041
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for estimating slipperiness of a road surface. This estimate may be obtained using an image sensor mounted on a vehicle. The estimated road slipperiness may be utilized when calculating a risk index for the road, or for an area including the road. If a predetermined threshold for slipperiness is exceeded, corrective actions may be taken. For instance, warnings may be generated to human drivers that are in control of driving vehicle, and autonomous vehicles may automatically adjust vehicle speed based upon road slipperiness detected.
