  • Patent number: 11944970
Abstract: A microfluidic detection unit comprises at least one fluid injection section, a fluid storage section and a detection section. Each fluid injection section defines a fluid outlet; the fluid storage section is in gas communication with the atmosphere and defines a fluid inlet; the detection section defines a first end in communication with the fluid outlet and a second end in communication with the fluid inlet. A height difference is defined between the fluid outlet and the fluid inlet along the direction of gravity. When a first fluid is injected from the at least one fluid injection section, the first fluid is driven by gravity to pass through the detection section and accumulate to form a droplet at the fluid inlet, such that a state of fluid pressure equilibrium of the first fluid is established.

  • Patent number: 5373723
Abstract: An apparatus for determining friction between a support roller and a rubber roller comprising an adjustable horizontal seat board, a pivoted stand supporting a pivot spindle in parallel to the seat board, an adjustable horizontal pressure pad for applying even downward pressure, a clamping and driving assembly for clamping two ends of the rubber roller, a support roller for supporting one end of the paper, a paper holding device with rollers below for holding the other end of the paper, a load cell in connection with the paper holding device for conveying a pull from generated friction, and a set of weights for selecting to be placed on the horizontal pressure pad. In use, the rubber roller, evenly pressing on one end of the paper, may be driven into turning at a fixed speed to allow a relatively accurate frictional factor to be detected.

  • Patent number: 5294103
Abstract: A document and draft paper holding device for a computer, comprising a main body capable of being located beside a monitor for clamping the draft document and exposing part of the contents of the draft. A paper passing device separates and passes the paper upward to the exposing part of the holder. A driving device, activated by pushing a button, starts a pick-up roller for delivering the requested amount of paper. By pushing a button located on the monitor or nearby, part of the contents of the draft will be clearly shown in the main body of the computer for the convenience of operator, reducing typing mistakes and increasing operator efficiency.
