  • Publication number: 20110068747
Abstract: The present invention relates to a cyclic self-maintenance battery device, which describes a self-maintenance battery device that can be coupled to batteries, and the batteries are coupled to a load, The self-maintenance battery device comprises a charger module, an electric discharge module, a control module and a SOH (State of Health) indication, wherein the control module assigns the batteries to be in standby state, charging mode or discharging mode. Accordingly, the present invention can continuously charge, discharge the batteries, and thus prevent an AC (alternating current) power from continuous charging the batteries for long periods of time causing problems of battery degradation, thereby prolonging the serviceable life of the batteries, reducing the number of times the batteries need to be replaced, and further achieving the environmental protection objective.

  • Publication number: 20110012019
Abstract: A mirror switch apparatus for controlling an electronic device includes a directional light source generator, a mirror component, and a light receiver. The directional light source generator is used to provide a directional light to be transmitted to the mirror component. The light receiver is used to control the electronic device. When the light receiver receives the directional light reflected from the mirror component the mirror switch apparatus is activated to control the electronic device, such as by turning the device on/off.

  • Publication number: 20100302207
Abstract: An optical touch control method and apparatus are disclosed. The touch control method is used to provide a shadow from an object in accordance with a light source, and to determine the touch time and the touch location of the object in the display according to a width variance of the shadow. By utilizing the touch control method, the optical touch control apparatus can be implemented in large sized displays without substantial increases in cost.

  • Publication number: 20080212679
Abstract: A memory-efficient motion estimation technique for high-resolution video coding is proposed. The main objective is to reduce the external memory access, especially for limited local memory resource. The reduction of memory access can successfully save the notorious power consumption. The key to reduce the memory access is based on center-biased algorithm in that the center-biased algorithm performs the motion vector searching with the minimum search data. While considering the data reusability, the proposed dual-search-windowing approaches use a secondary windowing as an option per searching necessity, by which the loading of search windows can be alleviated and hence reduce the required external memory bandwidth, without significant quality degradation.
