  • Patent number: 11936935
Abstract: Various embodiments describe methods, systems, and devices for deploying live media content as a time-shifted playback. Exemplary implementations may receive, from a client computing device, a content request for a time-shifted playback of live media content. The time-shifted playback may use a unique copy of a live media content configured for playback associated with the content request. The content request may indicate a past point in time in the live media content from which the time-shifted playback originates. The client computing device may be provided access to an assigned private path for accessing segments of the time-shifted playback starting from a requested segment that corresponds to the indicated past point in time. Access by the client computing device to further segments of the time-shifted playback may be prevented in response to determining that the subsequent content request for playback of the second live media content is received.

  • Publication number: 20230042408
Abstract: Various embodiments describe methods, systems, and devices for reducing the duplication of live media content stored by a computing device for later deployment as a time-shifted playback. A content request for a time-shifted playback of live media content may be received from a client computing device. A record of the content request may be created, wherein the record includes completion data for object files corresponding to segments of the live media content stored separately from the record. The completion data, unique to the content request, may enable playback of the time-shifted playback. The time-shifted playback may be compiled from the object files received from an object store and the completion data. The compiled time-shifted playback is unique to the content request as compared to compilations for other content requests. Access for the client computing device may be enabled to an assigned private path.

  • Patent number: 11316776
Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for delivering content (e.g., multimedia streams, video files, documents, images, text, operating system updates, app store downloads, etc.) from a content source to one or more receiver devices over an internet protocol (IP) network. Network devices may be configured to bypass a content delivery network (CDN) to deliver a bulk of the content via IP multicast, and to utilize the CDN and multipath connectivity between the content source and the receiver devices to deliver the remaining portions of the content via unicast.
