  • Publication number: 20080142692
Abstract: This device is a system actuated when a loop of fiber optic strand is exposed in a pathway characterized of a tripwire device. A basic system having a light source emits light through a fiber optic conductor to a light detector that converts the receiving status to an electrical signal. In event of a break event of the fiber optic the detector sends electrical energy to an actuator whereby a device is activated. The activated device could be, but not limited to, launched ordinance, video surveillance, alarm sound and complex systems can report speed and direction of objects. Furthermore systems are capable of determine the identification of the object causing the break event and stand the system down to reserve system assets. These systems cam be arranged as slave systems to a central processor. An important feature is that a system is that it can be programmed to time out to safely be repositioned and serviced.

  • Publication number: 20080084033
Abstract: The present invention is a unique motor comprising a containment chamber having thick walls surrounding a thin wall, is created when a plug is fusible joined. An inlet port and preferably a purging port are located in the thick walls. A motion is created when said expansion wall expands as said containment chamber is pressurized.

  • Patent number: 6900398
Abstract: The invention, an improved removable personal scale and a means to mount into a pit prepared in masonry or an opening in a framed floor while viewing is either or both direct or remote readout. This invention is an easily removed and replaced scale having a planar platform that is made substantially flush to the floor surface and easily covered with a surface to match or contrast the surrounding floor surface and provides for an air gap around the perimeter. Also, as provided by this invention is a means to substantially support and align this removeable scale. Finally, the invention includes a means to seal the air gaps to exclude entry objects.

  • Publication number: 20040063365
Abstract: The invention, is an improved PFD is flexible tube shell with caps urged over and preferably sealed onto each end, each cap end having a clasp and preferably worn as a necklace by joining the clasps on each end. The flexible tube shell has a longitudinal groove and a long distensible sack with ends each having gas source. Said sack is disposed internally through the length of the tube. To activate, the PFD is streatched or jerked to pull the end caps off the tube. This releases gas from to fill sack expanding outward causing adequate pressure to cause the flexible tube shell to be split along the internal groove and is jettisoned. The PFD is a gas filled ring shape.
