Abstract: A patient interface for respiratory therapy includes an interface body and a housing for receiving the interface body. The patient interface also includes a securement member having a pair of support pads, each of the support pads configured to engage the face of a user. In some configurations, the interface body can be a cannula body or a mask body. In some configurations, the housing can receive different interface bodies, and the interface bodies are interchangeable.

Abstract: A patient interface for respiratory therapy includes a mask seal body defining a breathing chamber and having a user-contacting surface configured to contact a face of the user and surround at least the nares of the user. The patient interface also includes a pair of facial pads, each of the facial pads configured to engage the face of a user on opposing sides of the mask seal body. The facial pads are coupled to the mask seal body. The patient interface comprises a sealing mechanism configured to urge the mask seal body toward the user's face to create or maintain sealing engagement between the user-contacting surface and the user's face. In some configurations, the sealing mechanism includes a curved bridging portion that extends between the mask seal body and each of the facial pads.

Abstract: Filters for surgical procedures including a fluid pathway to transport fluid, such as smoke and/or gases, exhausted from a surgical site, a humidity regulating element located along the fluid pathway, and a filter element located downstream of the humidity regulating element such that the humidity regulating element and the filter element are in fluid communication with each other. The humidity regulating element is configured to remove or reduce humidity from the smoke and/or gases exhausted from the surgical site prior to the smoke and/or gases reaching the filter element. The filter element is configured to filter particulate matter from the smoke and/or gases exhausted from the surgical site.

Abstract: A patient interface assembly has a patient interface and a securement system for the patient interface and/or patient interface tubing. The patient interface has a body and at least one nasal prong extending from the body. The at least one nasal prong has a gas inlet for fluid communication with a supply of breathable gas, and a gas outlet configured to direct a flow of gas towards a nare of the user's nose. The at least one nasal prong further includes an exterior surface, at least a portion of the exterior surface is a sealing surface configured to seal the nare of the user's nose. The securement system has a two-part releasable attachment or connection arrangement, the arrangement comprising a first patch and a second patch.
