Abstract: A digital document image archive and distribution system includes an archive system and a distributed digital document image retrieval system. The system has communication nodes located at an image capture site and at one or more remote archive retrieval sites, these sites forming a communications network operating as a chained client/server network composed of workstation components and a capture site host computer component. An originating remote workstation retrieves a digital document image from the image capture site by creating a transaction file that identifies a digital document image to be retrieved. This transaction file is sent to a remote server workstation whereat a plurality of transaction files are batched by priority. The batched transaction files are transmitted to the capture site workstation whereat the host component retrieves a group of digital document images from archive storage, including the digital document image that is identified by the transaction file.

Abstract: A reliable contamination resistant single use disposable medical non-ventilating aspirating device and method. The device releasibly connects to and aligns with an indwelling endotracheal tube to accommodate advancing of an aspirating catheter tube the device by manual manipulation through a sterile flexible envelope and selective evacuation of lung secretions through a closed and sterile two-position normally closed manually operable valve at the proximal end of the device, while simultaneously accommodating voluntarily respiration by the patient.

Abstract: A unitary closure assembly having a cap body that has an upper portion with a substantially conical drop dispensing tip including a ringed protrusion disposed around the base of said tip, and a lower portion that can be secured to an opening in a container. The cap body has a lid secured to it by a hinge. The lid comprises a substantially conical raised portion that is adapted to enclose and cover the drop dispensing tip on the cap body. The lid has a raised ring disposed on its inner side which seals the opening in the drop dispensing tip, and a ringed depression in the inner side which mates with the ringed protrusion on the drop dispensing tip.
