  • Publication number: 20160053891
Abstract: A compressor head includes an upper part, a lower part, a baffle, and a gasket between the upper part and the lower part. The gasket includes an inner perimeter portion between, and substantially delineating, an upper inner mating portion and a lower inner mating portion of the compressor head. The gasket also includes an outer perimeter portion between, and substantially delineating, an upper outer mating portion and a lower outer mating portion of the compressor head. A tab extends toward the first volume in the compressor head from the inner perimeter portion. The tab cooperates with an upper ledge and a lower ledge of the compressor head to reduce vibration of the baffle between the upper part and the lower part.

  • Patent number: 5622544
Abstract: A desiccant cartridge for an air dryer of the type used for compressed air supply systems. The desiccant cartridge incorporates an internally disposed particulate filter element which functions to provide particulate filtration for air coming into the desiccant cartridge. The filter element further acts to apply a compressive loading against internal components within the desiccant cartridge insuring that these parts are firmly coupled and providing sealing engagement between components despite manufacturing tolerance variations in the component parts.

  • Patent number: 4528590
Abstract: An electronic treadle (10) for generating an electrical signal proportioned to the degree of angular movement of a pivotally mounted treadle plate (14) includes a base (32) having side portions (26,28) which cooperate with corresponding side members (22,24) extending from the treadle plate. A pair of stops (76,78) are carried on one (26) of the side portions which cooperate with a tab (80) movable with the treadle plate (14) to limit the angular movement thereof. Movement of the treadle plate (14) is transmitted to a rotary potentiometer (66) carried on side portion (28) by a shaft (62) and socket (57) connecting the shaft to side member (22).

  • Patent number: 4487617
Abstract: Mechanism for cleaning and drying compressed gas (10) includes a housing (12) having an open end closed by an end cover (14). A desiccant canister (16) is mounted on a plate (24) which is clamped between the end cover (14) and the housing (12) so that the canister (16) is received within the housing (12). A circuitous passage (78) communicates an inlet port (76) with a sump cavity (68) which is communicated with the canister (16). Heat is transferred from the gas to the walls of the passage (78) as the gas passes therethrough. The passage (78) cants toward the sump (68) so that moisture tends to drain into the latter. A dump valve (110) periodically communicates the sump cavity (68) with atmosphere to thereby regenerate the desiccant in the canister (16) and to void the contaminants from the sump cavity (68).
