  • Patent number: 11961522
Abstract: The disclosure relates to an electronic apparatus for recognizing user voice and a method of recognizing, by the electronic apparatus, the user voice. According to an embodiment, the method of recognizing the user voice includes obtaining an audio signal segmented into a plurality of frame units, determining an energy component for each filter bank by applying a filter bank distributed according to a preset scale to a frequency spectrum of the audio signal segmented into the frame units, smoothing the determined energy component for each filter bank, extracting a feature vector of the audio signal based on the smoothed energy component for each filter bank, and recognizing the user voice in the audio signal by inputting the extracted feature vector to a voice recognition model.

  • Patent number: 7489489
Abstract: Methods and apparatus regulate the output of a switching device to a voltage near that of saturation. In the preferred embodiment, this is accomplished for a small period of time during activation before and/or after device saturation. The switching device drive requirement is then measured to attain the regulated voltage. Measurement of the drive requirement during the small period of time correlates to switching driver current, being reliant on the finite gain of the switching device.

  • Patent number: 7285004
Abstract: A Universal Serial Bus (USB) locking connector system is provided. The system can include a first housing defining a first locking portion and a female USB connector adapted to be disposed within the first housing. The system can also include a male USB connector operable to mate with the female USB connector. The system can further include a second housing defining a second locking portion. The second housing can be configured to receive the male USB connector. The second housing can be operable to engage the first locking portion with the second locking portion to fixedly couple the male USB connector to the female USB connector.

  • Patent number: 7196575
Abstract: A method and apparatus for greatly increasing the output voltage or current transformation ratio in an impedance transformation amplifier are disclosed. Broadly, the method takes advantage of multiple, phase-synchronized impedance transformation stages, each of which preferably contributes an equal portion of the eventual output voltage or current.

  • Patent number: 6509793
Abstract: Circuitry and methods increase switching amplifier resolution. Operation of the circuitry broadly relies upon selectively diverting a controlled portion of the output voltage, current, charge, or power from the load, the resolution of which is inversely proportional to the portion diverted. Although modulation of the diverted voltage or current may be effected by pulsewidth variance, analog modulation of voltage or current diversion may alternatively be utilized. Additionally, although current amplifiers are discussed for sake of simplicity, the technique is equally applicable to both voltage and current amplifiers. Multiple instances of the invention may also be scaled at contiguous resolutions to yield greatly improved system resolution. It has been found that accurate production of pulse widths approaching zero is the prime resolution-limiting factor of some switching amplifier topologies. This particular limitation results in very audible crossover distortion.

  • Publication number: 20030012037
Abstract: A method of improving modulation resolution in a flyback converter by pulsewidth- and/or position-modulation of a subtractive constant current with specific timing considerations is applicable to boost or buck/boost topologies. A typical system of this type uses a pulsewidth-modulated (PWM) circuit to provide a control pulsewidth in response to an incoming data stream. The control pulsewidth is used to drive a switching device which, when energized, charges an inductor. When the switching device is released the energy stored in the inductor “flies back” through a diode into a capacitor and load resistance. According to this invention, a constant current sink, gated under control of the PWM controller, is used to improve modulation resolution through pulsewidth- and position-modulation of a subtractive constant current with specific timing considerations. In the preferred embodiment, the constant current sink is implemented using a transistor in conjunction with a resistor network.
