  • Patent number: 4457010
Abstract: An apparatus for holding x-ray cassettes and grids in which any grid of a specific length and width can be combined with any cassette of a corresponding length and width without regard to the cassette thickness. The apparatus includes a frame assembly having side rails with flanges and a back rail with flanges which form two channels, one for the grid and one for the cassette. The cassette channel is dimensioned to accept any thickness of cassette. Parabolic springs are located within side rail cassette channel portions to bias the cassette against selected flanges. Locater members are also provided to properly align the grid and the cassette.

  • Patent number: 4429412
Abstract: A film support defines an x-ray permeable path and indicia such as the letters L and R are carried by an indicia support and the indicia support is movably mounted to the film support and overlies the x-ray path. The indicia are opaque to x-rays and the indicia support is arranged to alternately locate one indicia in the x-ray path and the other indicia out of the x-ray path so that when film is placed in the film support and is exposed to x-rays and later is developed, the film will have the image of one of the indicia imposed thereon.

  • Patent number: 4340058
Abstract: A plurality of elongate absorbent pads, each of approximately circular cross-section, are arranged parallel to one another in a pyramid shaped bundle, with a first layer of pads arranged in parallel, side-by-side relationship, the layers of pads above the first layer of pads arranged in side-by-side relationship and overlying the layer of pads next below at positions over the adjacent surfaces of adjacent ones of the pads in the layer next below. The pads are movable with respect to one another, a liquid pervious tubular sock surrounds and encloses the pads, a sheet of liquid impervious material substantially covers the bottom portion of the first layer of pads, and a layer of adhesive material is disposed on the bottom portion of the napkin for securing the napkin to an undergarment.

  • Patent number: 4264099
Abstract: A wind deflector assembly is mounted on a towing vehicle for deflecting the relative wind upwardly about a larger towed vehicle and comprises a deflector plate positioned at an angle inclined upwardly and rearwardly with respect to the normal forward direction of movement of the towing vehicle, and includes a lower leading edge portion extending approximately into the normal forward direction of movement of the towing vehicle and an upper trailing edge portion extending approximately opposite to the normal forward direction of movement of the towing vehicle. Triangular braces are connected to the deflector plate at positions displaced from the ends of the deflector plate, and a tie rod is connected at its end to the triangular braces to prevent the triangular braces from spreading apart. Support feet and straps are connected to the braces for mounting the assembly on the upper surface of the towing vehicle.
