  • Publication number: 20120281275
Abstract: Systems and methods for determining one or more characteristics of a specimen using radiation in the terahertz range are provided. One system includes an illumination subsystem configured to illuminate the specimen with radiation. The system also includes a detection subsystem configured to detect radiation propagating from the specimen in response to illumination of the specimen and to generate output responsive to the detected radiation. The detected radiation includes radiation in the terahertz range. • Publication number: 20100279213
Abstract: Methods and systems for controlling variation in dimensions of patterned features across a wafer are provided. One method includes measuring a characteristic of a latent image formed in a resist at more than one location across a wafer during a lithography process. The method also includes altering a parameter of the lithography process in response to the characteristic to reduce variation in dimensions of patterned features formed across the wafer by the lithography process. Altering the parameter compensates for non-time varying spatial variation in a temperature to which the wafer is exposed during a post exposure bake step of the lithography process and an additional variation in the post exposure bake step.

  • Publication number: 20050063810
Abstract: A latch assembly is provided for selectively maintaining a ramp of a trailer in a storage position. The latch assembly includes a mounting tube mounted to the underside of the trailer and a clamp tube operatively connected to the mounting tube by a plurality of link arms. The clamp tube is vertically movable between an interfering position wherein the clamp tube is vertically spaced from the mounting tube and interfering portions of the link arm intersect the plane in which the ramp of the trailer lies and a non-interfering position where the clamp tube is adjacent the mounting tube.

  • Patent number: 5949891
Abstract: An audio processing system applies a filter to convert the audio signals generated by the microphone of a combined microphone/speaker earpiece into filtered audio signals, where the filter is designed to correct for distortions in the audio signals that result from the microphone being part of the combined earpiece.

  • Patent number: 5761292
Abstract: A transceiver providing simultaneous transfer of control information with voice and data over a public switched telephone network line is disclosed. In a typical system application, the transceiver is coupled to a public switched telephone network (PSTN) via a single telephone line. The transceiver includes logic for generating control information and for combining the control information with voice signals or data signals for transmission and reception through the PSTN using a single telephone line. The present invention provides a PSTN channel having two component subchannels, a main channel and a side channel. The main channel is provided for the transfer of voice signals and data signals at the same time the side channel is transferring control information and/or additional data signals. The control information transferred on the side channel is used primarily for selecting the transfer of either voice signals or data signals on the main channel.

  • Patent number: 5761602
Abstract: The system and apparatus of the present invention includes, a triangular topology consisting of: 1) a distributor at the broadcast point which receives data and then transmits this data on the uni-directional broadcast channels, 2) a plurality of clients which receive this data and periodically connect to 3) a router which receives the requests and acknowledgments from the clients, and services these requests through its connections to remote systems such as networks, host computers, and the distributor.

  • Patent number: 5631967
Abstract: A continuous stage variable is generated with a state machine of a controller. A level of transmit attenuation and a level of receive attenuation are generated by the controller using the continuous state variable. Local audio signals generated with a local microphone are attenuated with a transmit attenuator at the level of transmit attenuation for transmission to a remote node. Remote audio signals received from the remote node are attenuated with a receive attenuator at the level of receive attenuation for playback at a local speaker.

  • Patent number: 5579389
Abstract: A local histogram is generated with a controller based on local audio signals generated with a local microphone. A level of transmit attenuation and a level of receive attenuation are generated with the controller based on the local histogram. The local audio signals are attenuated with a transmit attenuator at the level of transmit attenuation for transmission to a remote node. Remote audio signals received from the remote node are attenuated with a receive attenuator at the level of receive attenuation for playback at a local speaker.

  • Patent number: 5566238
Abstract: Remote audio information corresponding to remote audio signals are received by a controller from a remote node. A level of transmit attenuation and a level of receive attenuation are generated by the controller using the remote audio information. The local audio signals are attenuated with a transmit attenuator at the level of transmit attenuation for transmission to a remote node.
