  • Patent number: 11719502
Abstract: The present invention relates to an arrangement (A) for releasably securing a weapon (W). Said arrangement (A) comprises a fixed support member (10) and a locking member (20) spring loadedly and movably connected to the fixed support member (10) such that when the weapon (W) is pressed towards the locking member (20), the locking member (20) is moved relative to the support member (10) from a closed position to an open position so that said weapon (W) is allowed to be introduced through an opening (02) of the locking member (20) into a holding position of the locking member (20), and such that, when the weapon (W) is positioned in said holding position, the spring loaded locking member (20) is returned to said closed position by means of a spring force. Said arrangement may further comprise an actuator arranged for moving the locking member (20) against a spring force into said open position for allowing said weapon (W) to be released.

  • Publication number: 20230135860
Abstract: Processes and systems related to solid phase peptide synthesis are described. The processes include a flow-through process comprising cyclic addition of amino acids to a column packed with resin, wherein each cycle includes the combination of the amino acids with one or more reagents to provide an activated amino acid mixture, and wherein heating is applied to the amino acid(s) before they are passed through the column and wherein the amino acids are re-circulated at least once over the column packed with resin. Systems for such processes are also described.

  • Publication number: 20090221949
Abstract: An apparatus for circulatory isolation and treatment of a part of a patient's body includes a fluid circulation loop having a first end and a second end, a flow obstructer adapted for obstructing blood flow in a patient's blood vessel such that a body part or organ becomes circulatorily isolated from the circulation of the rest of the body, and a flow-through arrangement including first and second flow-through members respectively connected to the first and second ends of the fluid circulation loop, for providing the isolated part of the patient's body with a fluid connection to the fluid circulation loop, allowing circulation of a therapeutic fluid through the isolated body part.

  • Patent number: 6887990
Abstract: A method for purifying an oligonucleotide that comprises providing an oligonucleotide attached to a substrate, wherein the oligonucleotide contains phosphate protecting groups; contacting the oligonucleotide with a reagent, e.g., an organic amine, that cleaves the phosphate protecting groups from the oligonucleotide without detaching the oligonucleotide from the substrate; isolating the oligonucleotide attached to the substrate from the cleaved phosphate protecting groups; and cleaving the oligonucleotide from the substrate. This method provides crude oligonucleotide mixtures that are easier to purify and from which the desired full-length oligonucleotide product can be isolated in higher yields.

  • Patent number: 5641459
Abstract: A machine for synthesizing oligonucleotides has individual pumping modules for connection to each of a number of different monomers and to other fluids used in the synthesizing process. Each pumping module includes a pump and a three-port/three-way valve with the first inlet port connected to receive the fluid, and the second port connected to receiving a flushing agent, such as acetonitrile. A valving arrangement downstream from the pumping modules selects a monomer. The selected monomer and other fluids pass through flow sensors which provides signals to a controller, which uses these signals to regulate the pumping of the pumps. At least some of the valves allow multiple inlet ports to be kept open at the same time, thus allowing certain of the liquids to be mixed within the valves. The various pumps, valves and sensors are mounted to the exterior of a cabinet and arranged such that the liquid handling portions are exterior to the cabinet, while electrical portions are within the cabinet.
