  • Patent number: 9074446
Abstract: A system (10) for managed pressure drilling, or for workover of a hydrocarbon well with a wellhead, the system comprising a floating structure that is located in a body of water (41). A method is also described for connecting up the system for managed pressure drilling or well workover. The floating structure comprises a drill floor (13) and a work deck (14) that is movably arranged in an essentially vertical direction in relation to the drill floor. The system further comprises a riser (28) and a slip joint (32) that is connected to the underside of the work floor and to the upper end of the riser such that the work deck can be moved relative to the riser. The riser extends from the slip joint down to a wellhead valve device (40) arranged on the wellhead of the hydrocarbon well. The floating arrangement also comprises heave-compensated riser tensioners (17) which are connected to the slip joint such that the riser is held under tension.

  • Publication number: 20110240305
Abstract: A floating arrangement is provided for overhauling hydrocarbon wells at sea by means of coiled tubing, where the floating arrangement comprises a drill floor and a work deck which is arranged in an opening in the drill floor. The floating arrangement comprises a first set of heave-compensating devices which are arranged for connection to a slip joint connected to a riser in such a manner that an approximately constant tension in the riser can be maintained when the floating arrangement moves in the water. The floating arrangement further comprises a second set of heave-compensating devices which are arranged for connection to the work deck in such a manner that the work deck is at an approximately constant distance from the seabed when the work deck can move relative to the drill floor and the floating arrangement moves in the water. The invention also comprises a method for overhauling hydrocarbon wells at sea from a floating arrangement by means of a coiled tubing frame.

  • Patent number: 6470969
Abstract: An arrangement on a floating device for overhauling offshore hydrocarbon wells comprises a drill floor for conducting the overhaul, where the drill floor is provided with an opening. A vertically movable working deck can be inserted into the opening, and is provided with an attachment for a riser which extends from a well to the working deck. The working deck is suspended in the floating device by riser tensioners in order to maintain approximately constant tension in the riser during vertical movement of the floating device.

  • Patent number: 6390732
Abstract: A jack-up, movable drilling platform comprises a telescopic outrigger structure which is movable between a retracted position where it is located above the drilling platform's deck and an extended position where it projects outwards and away from the deck, and a drilling rig which is securely attached to the outrigger structure.
