  • Publication number: 20160261986
Abstract: A method in a location service client node includes maintaining a database containing a listing of beacon radio node identifiers with their geographic locations. A received location request contains an identifier for a UE and an identifier for a beacon radio node. A geographic location of the UE is determined from the database using the geographic location of the identifier for the beacon radio nodes. A message is sent to a public safety system containing the identifier for the UE and the geographic location. Subsequent to sending the message to the public safety system, a received movement notification message contains the identifier for the beacon radio node and data indicating that the beacon radio node has been moved. Data in the database is set to prevent the geographic location of the beacon radio node from being subsequently used to determine the geographic location of a UE.

  • Publication number: 20160165450
Abstract: A computing device may be configured to authenticate a user for access control, and may include at least one ground electrode configured for contact with a user, an impedance sensor coupled to the least one ground electrode, where the impedance sensor may be configured to perform a measurement based on a touch input from the user, a memory which stores instructions, and a processor, coupled the impedance sensor and the memory, where the processor may be configured to execute the instructions. The instructions may cause the processor to: receive the touch input from the user, receive an impedance value based on the touch input measured by the impedance sensor, and determine whether the received impedance value corresponds to at least one stored impedance value associated with a user profile.

  • Publication number: 20160014663
Abstract: In a cellular network based on a cellular radio technology, a communication device sends a request for D2D communication to the cellular network. Further, the communication device receives a response to the request. The response indicates that an alternative radio technology is to be utilized for the D2D communication. The communication device then establishes the D2D communication on the basis of the alternative radio technology.

  • Publication number: 20150371068
Abstract: A tag includes a communication interface that is configured to receive and transmit wireless transmissions, a movement detector and a digital logic circuit configured to perform operations. The operations may include broadcasting wireless transmissions comprising a tag ID of the tag from the communication interface according to a transmission pattern. A stationary movement pattern of the tag may be detected with the movement detector. The operations may further include adjusting the transmission pattern responsive to detecting the stationary movement pattern. A confirmation from a computing device indicating that information for the tag ID has been received by a server tracking the tag. The adjustment to the transmission pattern may also be responsive to receiving the confirmation, The tag broadcasts wireless transmissions according to the adjusted transmission pattern.

  • Publication number: 20150365591
Abstract: According to one aspect of the present disclosure, a method implemented by a computing device is disclosed. Images from a sequence of images that depicts a scene are displayed on an electronic display. User input is received that selects an image from the sequence to be used as a base image. User input is also received that selects an object from the sequence of images. A movement trajectory of the selected object is determined from the sequence of images. The selected object is repositioned based on user input that drags the selected object along the determined movement trajectory from an initial position to a new position. A new image is created by combining the base image and the repositioned object.
