  • Patent number: 9795745
Abstract: A syringe for mixing and ejecting an active pharmaceutical ingredient is disclosed. The syringe is designed in such a manner that it is ensured that substantially all of the mixed drug is ejected, and in such a manner that an active pharmaceutical ingredient can be lyophilized directly into the syringe. The syringe comprises a syringe body, a first plunger arranged movably inside the syringe body and a second plunger arranged movably inside the first plunger. In one aspect the second plunger comprises a first plunger part and a second plunger part, and the first and second plunger parts are adapted to cooperate to collapse the cavity of the first plunger. In a second aspect the cavity of the first plunger has a first diameter at a distal end and a second diameter at a proximal end, the first diameter being smaller than the second diameter.

  • Patent number: 5303431
Abstract: A composting toilet comprising an outer shell with an attached toilet seat, a composting space adapted to the interior of the outer shell and a ventilation duct attached to the outer shell. The composting space is a rotatable drum, into which solid toilet waste is collected and further transferred therefrom into a collecting container, shaft, or similar storage. The attached toilet seat is able to conduct liquids separately from solid waste. The invention is implemented by a construction in which the outer drum is thermally insulated and, in conjunction with the inlet opening of the drum, to the interior of the outer shell, there is adapted a stationary wall having a ventilation hole, and the toilet seat able to conduct liquids separately from solid waste is adapted to the outer shell at the location of the wall, so as to allow solid waste entering via the toilet seat to fall through a hole in the wall directly onto the inside surface of the drum.

  • Patent number: 5293651
Abstract: A toilet seat for composting toilets, which toilet seat comprises a seat ring, a bowl space, a bottom hole of the bowl space, and a separator of liquids such as washing water and urine. The toilet seat is implemented by adapting the inside surface of the front part of the bowl space to be at its upper part essentially vertical, at its middle part almost horizontal, and at its lower part convexly curved so that the center part of the curved area is closer to the rear part of the bowl space than the start and end points of the convexly shaped lower part, whereby liquids entering the front part of the bowl space in the toilet seat are conducted along the inside surface of the front part into a separate liquids collection container, or alternatively, to a treatment process, and that the liquids separator is formed by a shutter adapted to the lower part of the bowl space or below it.

  • Patent number: 5116397
Abstract: In a fibrillation device for the manufacture of mineral wool, the mineral wool melt runs down onto the peripehral surface of a spinning wheel from which it is thrown to further spinning wheels. The melt is thrown out as fibres which are subjected to a strong blast of air. The stream of air is conducted through an air gap having oblique guide vanes in order to impart to the stream of fibres an axial and a tangential velocity component. The air gap is formed to impart to the stream of fibres a radial velocity component directed outwards in addition to the tangential velocity component in the direction of rotation. Therefore, the air stream meets the peripheral surface of the spinning wheel at an oblique angle and forms a conically shaped curtain around the peripheral surface of each spinning wheel.

  • Patent number: 4966616
Abstract: A mineral wool centrifuge which comprises a rotatable centrifuge wheel (3) for the defibration of a molten mineral material to be passed on to said centrifuge wheel; a driving motor (2) for the rotation of the centrifuge wheel; a blowing air nozzle/blowing air nozzles (6) for applying blowing air to the periphery of the centrifuge wheel for separating mineral fibres from the molten mineral material; and means (9a, 9b, 17) for applying a binder to the mineral fibres separated from the periphery of the centrifuge wheel.
