Abstract: The present invention relates generally to travelling in a seat placed in a vehicle and is targeted to a head restraint (16) that is capable to prevent a prolonged flexion and a micro-trauma, comfort to use, and safe to use also in case of accident. This head restraint (16) comprises a first part (18) to be attached to a back rest or a headrest, a second part (19) to be attached to a user's head, and a pivot point (20) between the first part (18) and the second part (19). The head restraint (16) further comprises a fastener (41) and a safety release mechanism. The fastener (41) fastens the first part (18) and the second part (19) together at the pivot point (20), the fastener (41) being substantially nonelastic and configured to hold the user's head against the back rest or the headrest and to allow turning of the user's head.
