  • Publication number: 20230137827
Abstract: Certain aspects are directed to a portable and compact card holding and playing system comprising a card caddy with a detachable rotating mechanism, a flexible retaining device with at least one weighted element, a plurality of retaining discs, and a game plate using a number of flexible retaining mechanisms. The game plate is single and/or trifold with the trifold plate comprising a ferrous core with top and bottom laminate materials connected via hinges. The retaining disc is stackable, which can be placed on a number of cards or on each other. The card tray is preferably detachable from a base with a center divider that includes a magnetic component used to securely attach the card tray to the magnets embedded in the flexible retaining device and the base, thus allowing the kit to operate via magnetic and gravitational forces and be used in the presence of wind, turbulence or on uneven playing surfaces.

  • Publication number: 20230138840
Abstract: A pipette tip made of plastic with an elongated tubular body with a lower opening at the lower end for the passage of liquid and an upper opening at the upper end for clamping onto an attachment of a pipetting device, wherein a seating region for the attachment is present next to the upper opening on the inner circumference of the tubular body, wherein at least one flattened area extending in the axial direction is present next to the upper opening on the outer circumference of the tubular body, the wall thickness of the tubular body gradually decreases in a cross-section through the tubular body, starting from one of the two regions of the tubular body adjoining the flattened area, in the flattened area towards its central region, and the flattened area has in the cross-section through the tubular body a straight or a less strongly curved profile than the adjoining regions.

  • Publication number: 20110250573
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for teaching math is disclosed. The method comprises generating a number; generating movable items corresponding to the number defining a number of place values for representing the number; graphically marking place value areas corresponding to the place values; allowing a user to move the movable items into the place value areas to represent the number in terms of its place values.

  • Publication number: 20110250574
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for teaching math is disclosed. The method comprises generating a problem for a user to solve; generating a graphical representation of a number associated with the problem; wherein the graphical representation is selected to facilitate subitizing of the number; and overlaying visual guidance on the graphical representation to guide a user as a means to drawing attention to a learning strategy for solving the problem; receiving and checking a user's input as a solution to the problem; and indicating to the user a correctness of the solution.
