    Abstract: The present invention describes examination devices, such as examination gloves, for detecting the presence of blood, and in particular hidden blood, in biological samples. Examination devices according to the present invention include, in certain embodiments, developer and indicator reagents in a single encapsulation and in microencapsulations, which offers numerous clinical and other benefits. Kits including devices according to the present invention in sterile packaging, and methods of making and using devices according to the present invention, are also described.
