  • Patent number: 11773807
Abstract: An actuator for a thrust reverser includes a ball screw, a ball nut coupled to the ball screw, and a gerotor coupled to the ball screw. The gerotor includes an inner rotor coupled to the ball screw and an outer rotor. The outer rotor includes a plurality of bores. The actuator includes a lock system coupled to the outer rotor. The lock system is to enable the gerotor to rotate the ball screw in an unlocked state and to inhibit a rotation of the ball screw in a lock state. The lock system includes a piston coupled to a piston housing and a grippable member coupled to the piston housing. The piston is received in one of the bores in the lock state, and the grippable member is to move the piston housing relative to the gerotor to move the lock system to the unlocked state.

  • Patent number: 11479104
Abstract: A seal for a wall of a vehicle includes a first plate that defines a first slot, and the first plate is to be coupled to the wall. The seal includes a second plate that defines a guide that extends outwardly from the second plate. The second plate is positioned adjacent to the first plate such that the guide is in communication with the first slot. The seal includes a third plate that defines a second slot that receives the guide, and the third plate is positioned adjacent to the second plate and is to be coupled to the wall.

Abstract: A seal for a wall of a vehicle includes a first plate that defines a first slot, and the first plate is configured to be coupled to the wall. The seal includes a second plate that defines a guide that extends outwardly from the second plate. The second plate is positioned adjacent to the first plate such that the guide is in communication with the first slot. The seal includes a third plate that defines a second slot that receives the guide, and the third plate is positioned adjacent to the second plate and configured to be coupled to the wall.

  • Publication number: 20210023927
Abstract: A mount for coupling an engine to a vehicle includes an engine bracket to couple to the engine. The engine bracket includes a body that has a first end opposite a second end, and the body defines an offset coupling portion between the first end and the second end. The offset coupling portion protrudes from the body between the first end and the second end to define a receptacle. The mount includes a vehicle bracket to couple to the vehicle. The vehicle bracket includes a first bracket end opposite a second bracket end. The first bracket end is offset from the second bracket end and the first bracket end is received within the receptacle to couple the engine bracket to the vehicle bracket.

  • Publication number: 20120032048
Abstract: An adjustable and lockable bushing assembly includes a locking plate and a bushing. The locking plate has a bushing engagement opening that is defined by a plurality of first serrations, and a boss that extends axially therefrom. The bushing engages the locking plate and includes a concentric section, an eccentric section, a lock interface section, and an opening. The opening has a fixed diameter and extends along a longitudinal axis through the bushing. The concentric section has an outer surface that has a circumference that is concentric with the longitudinal axis. The eccentric section extends from the concentric section has an outer surface that has a circumference that is eccentric with the longitudinal axis. The lock interface section extends from the concentric section and includes an outer surface defined by a plurality of second serrations that engage the first serrations.

  • Publication number: 20070201984
Abstract: The present invention provides a turbofan engine including leading edge erosion protection for composite stator vanes contained therein. The composite stator vanes are defined by a leading edge, a trailing edge, a concave surface and a convex surface. The vanes are generally formed of a graphite fiber and an aramid fiber braided preform that is laminated with an epoxy matrix resin or other high temperature matrix resin. A wire mesh screen is embedded during a molding process into an outermost surface of the leading edge of the epoxy matrix resin. A tapering erosion protection layer comprised of an erosion protective material is applied to the wire mesh screen at the leading edge of the composite stator vane an aids in protecting the leading edge of the stator vane from debris and contaminants, including operational fluids, dust, and sand that may be carried in an air stream passing therethrough the turbofan engine, as well as an erosive operational environment.
