  • Patent number: 10265659
Abstract: A process for manufacturing a fluidic element, which consists in forming at least one fluid-permeable zone and one fluid-impermeable zone in a three-dimensional cellular material, by addition of at least one second material having a liquid initial state. The process will for example include soaking of the cellular material by the second material present in the liquid initial state, evacuating the second material present in its liquid initial state from at least one zone of the cellular material, in order to render the permeable zone.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 10, 2017
Date of Patent: April 23, 2019
Assignee: Commissariat a l'Energie Atomique et aux Energies Alternatives
Inventors: Giacomo Gropplero Di Troppenburg, Laurent Davoust, Yves Fouillet, Frederic Revol-Cavalier

  • Patent number: 8444836
Abstract: A device for forming at least one circulating flow, or vortex, at the surface of a drop of liquid, including at least two first electrodes forming a plane and having edges facing each other, such that the contact line of a drop, deposited on the device and fixed relatively to the device, has a tangent forming, when projected onto the plane of the electrodes, an angle between 0° and 90° with the edges facing each other of the electrodes.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 3, 2007
Date of Patent: May 21, 2013

  • Publication number: 20100072078
Abstract: A device for forming waves at the interface (I) of a liquid drop (F1) by electrowetting, enabling the micro-mixing and concentration of constituents at the interface (I) of the drop (F1). The device comprises at least one excitation electrode suitable for generating an oscillating and radial electric field about a first axis of symmetry, under the effect of an electric control, and a liquid drop (F1) arranged on said excitation electrode and having an axis of symmetry coinciding substantially with said first axis of symmetry, such that said electric field generates essentially axisymmetric waves at the interface (I) of said drop (F1).

  • Publication number: 20050181367
Abstract: A subject of the present invention is a method for the selective concentration of a macromolecule or of an agglomerate of molecules of particles contained in a liquid sample, comprising successively the following steps: formation of a stabilized dispersion of foam or emulsion type, from a medium comprising said liquid sample and an interface layer, said interface layer being capable of selectively fixing said macromolecule or said agglomerate to be concentrated; and resorption of the dispersion formed during the preceding step so as to reform said interface layer. The present invention can be applied to the concentration of DNA, of proteins, of prions, of colloidal particles.
