Abstract: Disclosed are systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for adjusting features of an audio signal using a graphical user interface. The graphical user interface displays representations of a group of audio output devices with each representation positioned a distance away from a center point. The graphical user interface is interactive and responds to input gestures from a user including a selection gesture for selecting a representation of a particular audio output device and a slide gesture for moving the selected representation relative to the center point. Based on a degree of motion of the slide gesture, a feature of the audio signal is adjusted.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method for presenting content on multiple devices is implemented on a computing device and includes: receiving selection of a multimedia content item, the multimedia content item including at least two media segments each of a different type, defining a first media segment of the at least two media segments as a primary media segment, defining at least a second media segment of the at least two media segments as at least one secondary media segment, allocating the at least one secondary media segment for presentation on at least one secondary presentation device, presenting the primary media segment on the computing device, detecting a current progress in the presenting, and based on said current progress, forwarding to the at least one secondary media segment an indication of an instruction for synchronizing presentation of the at least one secondary media segment with said presenting.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes: displaying an event on a first display device associated with a client device, the event comprising at least one video scene; enabling an electronic device to communicate with the client device; receiving a user input requesting augmented reality content associated with the at least one video scene; identifying a relevant portion of the augmented reality content to render on a second display associated with the electronic device, wherein the relevant portion comprises video frames corresponding to the at least one video scene and additional content surrounding the video frames; and rendering the relevant portion on the second display device.

Abstract: A system including a processor to create a history database in a storage medium for storing signal strength history records, each history record including an indication of one or more signals and a signal strength for each of the one or more signals detected by a mobile device, each of the history records being mapped to a rendering device, receive a first signal strength record, compare the first signal strength record to at least some of the history records to find one of the at least some history records which is a sufficiently close match to the first signal strength record, wherein the sufficiently close matching history record is mapped to a first rendering device, select the first rendering device for the user interface software to send control commands to, and store the first signal strength record in the history database mapped to the selected rendering device.

Abstract: Various embodiments provide an automated multi-device login synchronization function. For example, a private computing device, such as a smartphone or table computer, can detect a shareable device, such as a television set top box or video game consul, when the private device enters a room. In one example, the private device can determine whether the shareable device is currently associated with one or more user profiles. If the shareable device is not associated with a user profile, a command can be sent, by the private device to apply user settings and/or preferences for, and make content associated with, a user profile associated with the private computing device available on the shareable device. If, however, the shareable device is associated with a second user profile, a similar command can be sent causing the shareable device to merge the first and second user profiles to create a merged profile.

Abstract: The invention relates to a set-top box receiver allowing access to interactive digital TV coming from any IP-network. It makes use of the SAP/SDP protocols as a logic link between “classic” DVB services (satellite, terrestrial, cable) and IP services. The invention allows providing TV services relying on existing Internet architecture. Simulation means are provided, in the MHP middleware, for building an Event Information Table upon the SDP messages. Specific preview information is added to the SDP messages so that they can be linked to a DVB service.
