The free ends each comprise an outward extension from the opposing ends. Each outward extension has an outer tip along a longitudinal length of the shell adapted to stablely locate the shell on a surface of a frame of a wedge connector installation tool. The wedge is adapted to wedge two electrical conductors against respective opposing inner sides of the shell.
