  • Patent number: 10087838
Abstract: A device and a method of temporarily increasing power of at least a first turbine engine is disclosed. The device includes a coolant liquid tank and a first injection circuit connected to the tank and leading to at least one injection nozzle suitable for being installed upstream from at least one compressor stage of the first turbine engine. This first injection circuit includes at least a first flow valve configured to open when a pressure exceeds a predetermined threshold compared with a downstream pressure from at least one compressor stage of a second turbine engine so as to enable the coolant liquid to flow towards the injection nozzle of the first injection circuit.

  • Patent number: 9580179
Abstract: An air conditioning system for an aircraft passenger compartment, the system including: an air supply circuit connecting at least one external air inlet to at least one air distribution outlet which opens into the compartment, an auxiliary power unit mounted in the supply circuit and configured to compress an air stream in the supply circuit, the supply circuit including a heating first branch that connects the auxiliary power unit to the air distribution outlet, and in which a heating mechanism is mounted, a cooling second branch that connects the auxiliary power unit to the air distribution outlet, and a switching mechanism configured to distribute the air stream between the heating first branch and the cooling second branch.

  • Publication number: 20140147278
Abstract: A radial turbine nozzle of a turbine engine rotating about a central axis includes a first annular array of fixed blades and a second annular array with a same number of variable-pitch blades. The blades have pressure and suction surfaces. Each variable-pitch blade is connected to cups and is configured to be rotated by a controller about a geometric axis connecting centers of the cups. Each variable-pitch blade is mounted at a distance from the axis of the cups such that this axis of rotation is positioned facing the suction surface of the blade and substantially closer to a trailing edge than to a leading edge of that blade. The nozzle can modify the reduced flow admitted by a radial turbine in accordance with requirements of a thermodynamic cycle and produce a seal in an area of maximum load of the nozzle blades.
