  • Patent number: 7142815
Abstract: There is described a method for adjusting the detection, transmission and/or reception parameters (DET, GTx, GRx) of a radiofrequency reader (10) of an electronic radiofrequency identification system as a function of the ambient electromagnetic noise. This method includes at least one step of measuring, via the radiofrequency reader, the ambient electromagnetic noise level, and a step of adjusting the detection, transmission and/or reception parameters of the radiofrequency reader on the basis of the measured ambient electromagnetic noise level. Preferably, this method further includes a step of measuring the response of a reference transponder (30) placed at least temporarily in the interrogation field of the antenna (20) associated with the radiofrequency reader, this reference transponder (30) having similar characteristics to the characteristics of the transponders to be identified.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: November 28, 2006
    Assignee: EM Microelectronics-Marin SA
Inventors: Olivier Desjeux, Laurent Neveux, Saak Dertadian
  • Patent number: 7098866
Abstract: The reader or transmitter and/or receiver (22) includes a sheathed antenna formed of two groups of turns or coils (6, 8, 9; 16, 17). The first group of turns or coils forms a sheathed antenna. The second group includes two coils (16, 17) arranged between the central coil (6) and respectively the two end coils (8, 9) of the first group. The second group of coils is powered in phase quadrature relative to the first group of coils, the set of coils being arranged so as to obtain a magnetic field (H) whose amplitude (A) is approximately constant along the central axis (24) of the antenna inside the overall inner volume of the latter.
