  • Publication number: 20190248521
Abstract: An automatic cable tie apparatus tightens and fastens a cable tie around a bundle of cables. A motor imparts rotational movement to a shaft separately in a first direction and a second direction. The first and second directions are one of a clockwise and counter-clockwise direction. A cable tie delivery mechanism is operably joined to the motor such that the cable tie delivery mechanism transfers a cable tie to a cable tie load starting position as the shaft rotates in the first direction. A transporter is also operably joined to the motor such that the transporter transfers the cable tie from the cable tie load starting position to a cable tie tensioning position as the shaft rotates in the second direction.

  • Patent number: 9126732
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a metal locking tie and a metal locking tie tool. The metal locking tie has a tie body, a tie head secured to the tie body, and a roller means disposed in the tie head. The tie head has a bottom, a ceiling, opposing sides, a strap entrance end and a strap exit end that define a strap receiving passageway therethrough. The tie head also includes an angled tool bearing surface at the strap exit end. The metal locking tie tool includes a cutter cap with a cutter and a ball setter. Once the metal locking tie tool has tensioned the metal locking tie, the cutter moves linearly with respect to the cutter cap to set the roller means in the tie head and to provide a flush cut off of the excess tie body from the metal locking tie.

  • Patent number: 8966821
Abstract: An interlocking assembly for a dual hinged door, includes a first latch and second latch each rotatably secured to opposing sides of the door. Each Latch is linked to a first and second interference member respectively, such that positioning the first latch in an open position rotates first interference member in a path of rotation of the second interference member. In that configuration, second interference member is not permitted to rotate and prevents the second latch from opening.

  • Publication number: 20150047161
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a buckle bender tool that secures a strap in a metal buckle. The buckle bender tool has a main body with a first end and a second end. The tool has a bent edge at a distal end of the first end of the main body. The bent edge forms an acute angle with respect to the main body of the tool. The tool has straight edge at a distal end of the second end of the main body. The buckle bender tool positions a cut-off strap end within a buckle and deforms the buckle to secure the strap therein.

  • Patent number: 8316895
Abstract: A tool for installing a metal locking tie is disclosed. The tool includes a tension mechanism and a ball set and cut-off mechanism. The tension mechanism tensions the metal locking tie wrapped around a bundle. The ball set and cut-off mechanism includes a guide block and a shear block that engages the guide block. Once the tool tensions the metal locking tie, a ball set and cut-off handle is manually activated to push the guide block and the shear block forward in the tool thereby setting a ball in a metal locking tie head and shearing a portion of the tensioned metal locking tie.

  • Patent number: 8006372
Abstract: A multi-use tool for assembly of electrical connectors includes a main tool body having an electrical connector assembly holder. The holder includes first and second cavities. The first cavity includes spaced anvils and removably retains an electrical connector end cap between the anvils. A cutting ram is opposed to the first cavity and includes two cutting blades that are translatable between disengaged and engaged positions to trim and sever excess wire lengths from the electrical connector end cap. The second cavity removably retains the electrical connector end cap and a jack housing. A termination ram is opposed to the second cavity and movably mounted between disengaged and engaged positions to terminate the jack housing with the end cap. A trigger mechanism is operably connected to both the cutting ram and the termination ram.

  • Patent number: 7422037
Abstract: A cable tie installation tool tensions a cable tie about a plurality of elongated objects and severs an excess portion of the cable tie. The cable tie includes a head portion and a tail portion. The tool includes a housing having a blade guard having a front portion and an anvil portion, a tensioning mechanism operatively supported by the housing for tensioning the cable tie to a predetermined tension setting and retaining the cable tie head portion at least partially against the blade guard, and a severing mechanism including a linearly reciprocating blade for severing the excess portion of the cable tie near the head portion once the cable tie has been placed into the predetermined tension setting by the tensioning mechanism. The linearly reciprocating blade passes behind the front portion of the blade guard and in front of the anvil portion of the blade guard.
