  • Patent number: 8173073
Abstract: Methods and devices for a fully automated synthesis of radioactive compounds for imaging, such as by positron emission tomography (PET), in a fast, efficient and compact manner are disclosed. In particular, the various embodiments of the present invention provide an automated, stand-alone, hands-free operation of the entire radiosynthesis cycle on a microfluidic device with unrestricted gas flow through the reactor, starting with target water and yielding purified PET radiotracer within a period of time shorter than conventional chemistry systems. Accordingly, one aspect of the present invention is related to a microfluidic chip for radiosynthesis of a radiolabeled compound, comprising a reaction chamber, one or more flow channels connected to the reaction chamber, one or more vents connected to said reaction chamber, and one or more integrated valves to effect flow control in and out of said reaction chamber.

  • Publication number: 20060266570
Abstract: A scooter having a fuselage with a front portion and a rear portion that includes a rear wheel rotatably mounted at the rear portion. The scooter also includes a standing platform supported by the fuselage for supporting a rider and a transmission system mounted under the standing platform in the rear portion of the fuselage. The transmission system having a motor with a wheel engagement element being operatively coupled with the rear wheel to allow the wheel engagement element to rotate the rear wheel when the wheel engagement element is engaged with the rear wheel. Another embodiment of the transmission system includes a motor, a first drive cone coupled the motor; and, a drive cone engagement mechanism configured to allow the first drive cone to be operatively coupled with a wheel to rotate the wheel.

  • Publication number: 20060049595
Abstract: An electric skateboard comprises a deck, a pair of rear wheels, and a front wheel having a front wheel diameter. A deck height is defined by the distance between the bottom side of the deck and the ground. The front wheel diameter is greater than the deck height. One or more motors is operable to drive the front wheel. A control module is in communication with the one or more motors, and is operable to effect acceleration and deceleration of the one or more motors. A rechargeable battery pack is configured to provide power to the one or more motors. A controller is in wireless communication with the control module. The controller is configured to receive user input and to transmit the user input to the control module.
