    Abstract: A holding device for holding a Christmas tree and the like in an upright position which includes a ring-like member disposed in a horizontal plane. The ring-like member has fingers which extend inwardly thereof in the horizontal plane. The fingers are spaced around an edge of the ring-like member, and each of the fingers has a width which is less than the length between adjacent fingers along the edge of the ring-like members.
