  • Patent number: 9872807
Abstract: A multiple patient infant warming management system comprises at least one temperature sensor for sensing at least one temperature of an infant warming device and a controller. The controller processes first signals for different temperature ranges of different temperature zones assigned to different patients to be concurrently warmed the infant warming device, receives second signals from the at least one temperature sensor indicating at least one temperature of the infant warming device and outputs adjustments based on the first signals and the second signals.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 31, 2013
Date of Patent: January 23, 2018
    Assignee: General Electric Company
Inventors: Steven Mitchell Falk, Lawrence Guy Ten Eyck, Marjorie Chappelle McCue, Karen P. Starr
  • Patent number: 9526459
Abstract: A visual management system for a medical device, the system comprises a projection device and a controller to generate control signals based upon parameters associated with use of the medical device. The projection device projects a message onto a surface, upon which the image is viewable, in response to the control signals.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 30, 2013
Date of Patent: December 27, 2016
    Assignee: GENERAL ELECTRIC COMPANY

  • Publication number: 20140005530
Abstract: An ultrasound imaging apparatus is provided. The apparatus comprises an ultrasound probe configured to perform ultrasound sweeping of a region of interest including a target location and a target vessel in a real time volume ultrasound scan mode, an image acquiring unit configured to acquire three-dimension scan data of the target location and the target vessel, and a controlling unit configured to calculate the target vessel centerline length based on the acquired three-dimension scan data. The apparatus further comprises an image processing unit configured to automatically mark distance scales from the critical line located at the target location along the target vessel centerline at predetermined intervals based on the calculated centerline length, and a displaying unit configured to displaying the target location and the target vessel centerline marked with distance scales in real time.

  • Patent number: 8585574
Abstract: An infant warmer includes an infant enclosure defining an infant compartment, and a heating system pneumatically coupled with the infant compartment. The heating system includes a heater configured to selectively transfer heat to the infant compartment, and a thermal storage device configured to store heat from the heater and to selectively transfer said stored heat to the infant compartment. The infant warmer also includes a controller operatively connected to the heating system. The controller is configured to regulate the transfer of heat from the thermal storage device such that a target temperature is maintained within the infant compartment.
