    Abstract: A vacuum insulating glazing unit (VIGU) comprises a first glass pane and a second glass pane spaced-apart from the first pane to define a cavity therebetween. A first seal member is bonded at a first end to the first glass pane and a second seal member is bonded at a first end to the second glass pane and at a second end to a second end of the first glass pane. At least one of the first seal member and the second seal member has a configuration (when viewed parallel to the panes) including at least one of a toward-pane oriented convolute and an away-from-pane oriented convolute.
